We are delighted to bring you a really positive update from Phase 2 on the Bishop Auckland site.
Please find below a couple of photos from the developer of the first major new unit on Phase 2, directly next to Phase 1, which is now a thriving leisure and retail park just south of Bishop Auckland and 10-miles from Durham.
Phase 2 is comprised of 3 major and 1 minor units to be constructed, along with 350 car parking spaces.
The first 15 weeks was taken up by the groundwork contractors who had to level the site, then take away over 32,000 tons of soil. The site was then handed over to Tindle Crossing Developments as principle contractor, on the 26th May.
The next stage for this initial unit is the brickwork contractors, who started on site this week! The cladding and roofing contractor is to begin immediately following the completion of the brickwork.
We are delighted to announce that the developer is still fully on track for completing all of the construction by November 2026. Following that, the occupiers will commence fitting out, which will take us until the end of June 2027, triggering the beginning stages of the exit of the loan note.
